Did you notice the last time you typed in a URL in your web browser that after you typed “www.”, a box dropped down that listed all the websites you’ve visited that started with “www”. It was probably a long list.

This feature is called browser history. Browser history was meant to make surfing the Internet more convenient. But what if someone else were using your computer?

Browser history would enable someone else to see all the web sites you’ve visited just by typing a few letters in your browser URL box.
